This training opportunity guides participants through interactive activities focusing on the domains of the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) for Infant age children. It is designed for early childhood educators at all levels and will help them become comfortable with the assessment tool.
During this training, participants will:
• See how teacher-child interactions impact children’s’ learning.
• Understand how the CLASS tool organizes these interactions.
• Practice identifying effective teaching practices in videos from real classrooms.
• Review uses of the CLASS tool.
Important Notes: To receive CEUs, participants must adhere to attendance policy (see below), actively participate in class discussions and exercises, complete all assignments, and complete & submit evaluations. The Early Learning Coalition of Miami-Dade/Monroe reserves the right to cancel classes at any time. Dates are subject to change. Partial CEUs cannot be offered.
Attendance Policy: Participants missing more than 15 minutes of total training time will NOT receive a certificate of completion or receive CEUs. Please be prepared to arrive on time and stay until the end of the training. Late participants will not receive credit for the training. Late/absent participants may register for another session.
