This is an online Training.
Developing rapport with families and referring children to the appropriate agencies for early intervention service is an important goal for providers that work with young children. Many of the needs of children with delays or other conditions often go unnoticed by both parents and caregivers and often they do not know where to turn for help. This workshop will provide valuable community resources for referral and will also teach participants how to use them.
During this training session participants will:
-Learn how to develop trusting relationships with families that will bridge the gap and facilitate early identification and support for the families they work with.
-Learn to communicate and support the children’s families.
-Become aware of the importance of referring children for further evaluation due to their awareness of the benefits of early intervention.
-Understand the importance of the early intervention agencies available in the community, and will be able to link children to the appropriate agencies according to their age.
