A child’s strong social-emotional development provides an unyielding foundation for all learning. During this 6 hour session,  participants will explore their role in promoting the healthy social-emotional development of infants, toddlers, and twos. Participants will discover practical strategies for building a positive relationship with each child and strategies for promoting positive relationships between and among children. In addition, caregivers will explore and practice implementing a variety of strategies for fostering strong family partnerships. Participants will be introduced to developmentally appropriate expectations for children’s behaviors and will learn how to leverage positive guidance strategies. Caregivers and teachers will also discuss practices for navigating challenging behaviors, such as biting and temper tantrums.
