Making the Most of Classroom Interactions (MMCI) for PreK helps teachers and care providers engage with the Classroom Assessment Scoring System™ (CLASS™) as they identify and understand the interactions that increase children's learning and development.
Teachers and child care providers who participate in MMCI workshops will:
- Learn to identify and describe effective interactions in classrooms and Childcare settings.
- Discuss ways to interact intentionally to increase children's learning.
- Gain access to valuable print and video resources aligned with the CLASS measure.
- Develop a shared language for discussing effective interactions (Know).
- Develop a lens for noticing effective interactions (See).
- Plan to increase the depth, duration, and frequency of current effective interactions (Do).
Important information:
- Making the Most of Classroom Interactions (MMCI) course consist of 12 sessions of two (2) hours each = 24 hours total. ALL 12 sessions MUST be completed to receive credit.
- Participants MUST have access to high-speed Internet in order to access/view online resources and discussion forum.
- All participants attending Making the Most of Classroom Interactions (MMCI) are required to have an MMCI Participant Kit.
- Participants MUST attend each session and complete assigned 'homework' between sessions, including reflective planning and practice, viewing online resources, and participation in class as well as in the online discussion forum.
- In the last session, an instructional survey will be sent that MUST be completed and submitted in order to receive full credit.
- CEUs/certificate of completion is provided by Teachstone.
- Participants are allowed to miss only one session.

Important Notes:To receive CEU’s or In-service training hours, participants must adhere to attendance policy (see below). Participants must demonstrate learning gains. All learning outcomes must be met through course assessment, actively participate in class discussions and exercises, complete all assignments, and complete & submit evaluations., before a certificate will be awarded. Participants must attend the entire course. Partial CEUs or in-service hours cannot be offered.
