Burnout is a common challenge experienced by early care childhood providers and can lead to challenges in emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing. Teacher burnout can also negatively impact relationships with the children in your care. This presentation provides an overview of burnout, its related symptoms, and impacts on relationship with young children.Strategies to prevent or reduce burnout in early childhood providers will also be provided.

Self-care and reflective practice are two essential components for the wellbeing and professional development of early childhood professionals. This presentation will discuss the importance and benefits of self-care and reflective practice. Attendees will be guided in the development of a personalized self-care plan and other practical tips and strategies will be discussed.
