Citrus Health Network, Inc., Early Childhood Development Services is offering a two-part series for early care and education partners aimed at increasing their understanding of the importance of development, mental health, and nurturing relationships in the early years. This series will be available in English and Spanish, and a certificate of attendance will be provided.

Early childhood is a very important period in the lifespan due to rapid brain growth. Experiences that occur when a child is 0-5 years old sets a foundation for learning, development, and relating in years to come. This presentation provides an overview of early childhood development and Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health. Emphasis is placed on the importance of relationships in fostering wellness during the early years.
After this session participants will be able to:
- List the 5 domains of early childhood development
- Define Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health
- Describe the importance of positive caregiver relationships
- List strategies to nurture social emotional development and mental health in young children
