This training will provide the early childhood professional with important information about the etiology, incidence, symptoms, and strategies for maximizing children’s development in the very early years of life; before children who may have this disorder are identified, referred, and treated. They will also learn the skills for observing red flags and warning signs and communicating them to parents.
Planned Learning Outcomes:
Participants will develop a knowledge-base about Autism and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Participants will learn the developmental milestones and early warning signs for ASD
Participants will practice and become familiar with appropriate ways to communicate with families, provide resources, where necessary
